TDSJA Men's Weekend #2 May 15 - 18, 2025| Women's Weekend #2 May 22 - 25, 2025| Secuela #2 June 8, 2025
TDSJA is a fully sponsored community (no team fees, no candidate fees, no transportation fees), so we welcome your financial support.
You can make donations through our online platform, Givebutter. Alternatively, you can deposit funds into our JMD or USD accounts. For details on how to make deposits or wire transfers, please contact the Tres Dias team for assistance.
There are 2 options that allow the tres dias communities to function. One is a fee based community and the second is a sponsored community. In the fee-based community, both the team member and the candidate would be charged a fee.
In the sponsored community, the team member and candidate are not charged a fee. The steering committee (secretariat) for Tres Dias South Jamaica has chosen this second option for how this community will function, in order to remove the barrier that money can be in Jamaica.
However, this does not preclude us from the responsibility of participating in raising support to cover the cost of the weekends.
In order to have a set of weekends including all supplies, transportation, food, lodging, etc., we need approximately $US45,000 per set of weekends.
This means that we need to work on building the fund to support future weekends.
According to Tres Dias International rules, no TD community is supposed to function as a profit based community, therefore, if we do end up with a small excess, it will only go towards future weekends with the hope of having 3 – 4 sets of weekends per year.
There are 4 ways that we, as individuals, can participate in building up that fund:
1. By contributing to the fund personally
2. Ask for support from family and friends – local and abroad (as an example, if you were going on a mission trip, you would ask them for help in reaching your needed amount for that trip). We can teach you how to ask for donations from family and friends.
3. Community fund raising. Some examples of this are selling t-shirts, walkathons, and any other ideas you might have would be welcome.
4. Corporate sponsorship – let’s say you work for a company…you could approach the management and share with them that you serve in a ministry whose purpose is to train up servant leaders and ask them if they would consider a corporate funding/ gift.
There are 2 methods for giving once you have decided to give or have reached out to friends, family, business associates.
1. CTF (Community Transformation Fund) in the U.S…for those who have friends or family in the States using our give butter platform at https://givebutter.com/2Zu2Di
2. The Jamaican fund platform is in the process of being set up.
3. Whenever we have a gathering or reunion a box where donations can be dropped can be on hand. We do ask that if you want to give it directly to someone, please give it to Ben Salmon, or Boris Smith. Any gifts will always go to the general fund.
For help with any of these methods, please reach out to, Ben Salmon who will help you with a correct narrative to approach persons/companies
